This year’s soup supper had over 325 attending. This was (excerpt from newsletter) “IZ's 26th year sharing our soup, fellowship, laughter, and country church atmosphere with the surrounding communities. Since the beginning in 1982 we have raised over $66,000. All of the money raised is distributed to the designated beneficiary. This year's benefit will raise funds to be shared with Kim (Seier) Stover and the Albion Vets Club building fund. Kim is the daughter of Don and May Seier. She was involved in a car accident in July, 2008. She suffered severe burns and has endured the amputation of a lower leg. She has been in critical care at Creighton University, Omaha and will be transferred to Madonna Rehab in Lincoln. The Veterans Club in Albion is the process of raising funds for a new building. What better way to honor our Veterans!”
